Oil Pastel Portrait
This is a self portrait of me drawn by myself with oil pastels. We took a picture of ourselfves and brought it in to draw on a graphed piece of paper. When we finished drawing our picture we went over the drawn lines with oil pastels. We colored our picture with abnormal colors. We tried to shade with the oil pastels to create different shades of the color to give the feeling of shadows and highlights. After we had finished our oil pastel portrait, we framed it with white poster board! And this is my final product!

"The Scream" Mud painting
Shading Project of a Person
In art we had to draw a picture of someone by shading. First we traced over all the shapes in the picture and then shaded around them to make the picture resemble the person we were assigned to draw.We used the value scale to shade the picture. So we used different shades of gray. Light, medium, and dark. With the different shades it really enhanced the picture and made it look real.

Butterfly Shadow
Yesterday In class, we cut out the shape of a butterfly. Then, we carved out pieces of the paper so the light would shine through the carved places to give the effect of each texture of the butterfly. Although you cannot see this, we layered pieces of paper on top of other designs of the butterfly to also give the effect of different textures of the butterfly. Then, we taped the butterfly to a blank, white sheet of paper and turned on the lamp light. When we took the picture, we saw all the outlines of the butterfly!!
Palm Tree Light Shadow Picture
Yesterday in class, we cut out pieces of paper to cerate the form of an image. Then, we taped the paper to a piece of white paper and held it up to the light. And the picture came out as a palm tree on an island with coconuts falling to the ground.

Animal Hand Swan
In class we drew a picture of an animal out of your hand. Later, we painted the animal on our own hands like this! I painted a swan on my hand. With the way that I posed my hand, you could tell that it was a swan.
My Swan Animal Hand Drawing
As my sketchbook project I drew my hand to look like a swan. The hand was posed to look like the way a swan looks like. Then, I colored the hand in specific places to look like a swan. Then i got my animal hand of a swan!
